Cafe Blue

We had a Groupon about to expire (Mommy loves Groupon and has put herself on a ban for a while), so we headed out to Cafe Blue on Lake Travis for what ended up to be a lovely dinner. We got to ride the "train" down from the parking lot to the lake level where the restaurant was located. We got to see a beautiful sunset and watch several boats come in to dock for the evening.

Please, Daddy!!

Capitol's School annual fundraiser, a casino night, is this weekend. In addition to the games, there will be a silent auction. The most noteworthy item is this labradoodle puppy. I have seen her, played with her and WANT her! I'll let you know on Monday if my pleading has worked...

Daddy Did It!

Mommy's my chauffeur. She takes me to school, picks me up from school, takes me to therapy, picks me up from therapy, etc...This morning; however, DADDY took me to school while Mommy waved from the window, still wearing her jammies. She enjoyed a leisurely (ha! ha!)morning of laundry, cleaning...

A Girl and Her Cat

I was watching some t.v., munching on some popcorn and thought it was only fair for Barbie to have a snack, too. I went to the laundry room and brought back his bowl so we could watch some t.v. together...and it kept him out of my popcorn!

Race for the Cure 2010

Three years ago, the Race for the Cure was the day before Mommy's surgery. She walked around the sea of pink in a daze, flanked by her dear friends Cindy and Elizabeth. Since then, they have walked in the race every year, but with smiles on their faces and skips in their step. Mommy can't walk without the memory of that feeling three years ago, but now it's accompanied by gratitude for being well.

Gypsy Picnic

Austin has had an explosion of food trailers. Today many of them parked at Auditorium Shores for a "Gypsy Picnic". It was a great opportunity to try some of the yummy, and often unique, food offered...at least for the people in the world who actually EAT. I didn't taste one thing, but had fun playing in the dirt with my friends Abbie and Aiden, talking to strangers and petting random dogs. Mommy ate enough for both of us, though...and probably Daddy's share, too.

Confusion

Apparently, this is not what Mommy meant when she said cats like to eat fish.

Halloween 2010

We now live in a neighborhood where I can trick-or-treat! We started the evening with a party in the cul-de-sac where there was cookie decorating, balloon animals, a costume parade, pumpkin decorating, a pumpkin hunt, a fish pond...Mommy and I then moved on to a hay ride for trick-or-treating while Daddy manned the house and handed out candy. Was there any doubt what my costume would be???

Toy Catalogs

Our mailbox has been full of toy catalogs, just in time for the holidays. I think it's just as fun (well almost!) to look through them as it is to get the toys shown and described so temptingly on the pages.

School Halloween Party

We celebrated a little early at our school by wearing costumes and trick-or-treating at each other's classrooms. Mommy, the pirate, joined us for the morning of fun.
