One of the teams - Luke's Angels - came all the way from San Antonio

Mommy looking pretty tired at the end of the morning...

A couple of months ago, Mommy decided to begin a walk here in Austin to benefit CASANA - the Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association of North America. Since we got a late start, the goal was to raise $1000. At the start of the walk this morning, we had raised about $9500!!!!! There were over 100 walkers strolling through Springswood Park, proudly supporting kids with Apraxia. Mommy even gave a speech about why this cause is so important to her...the things you do for your kids, I guess! My team was called "Victoria's Voice" - thank you to all of you who walked with us today or supported us with your generous donations!

OH MY! Go Mamma! It is truly amazing what we do for our children. Thank you for making this happen...that is awfully cool that you got nearly 10 x what you wanted to raise.

I'd love to read your speech!

I have come across your page through a search for Apraxia -- does your child have apraxia? If she does (our 3 year little boy has just been diagnosed), I would really like to talk you about your experience. We live in San Antonio. I can be reached at laurenharkins@msn.com and we can go from there if you are willing. Thank you so much! Victoria is precious!
