As I posted last week, there was a labradoodle puppy in the auction at my school's fundraiser. To make matters even more complicated, we "puppy-sat" her for a couple of days before the auction...just enough time to bond with her. While Mommy and Daddy couldn't quite figure out if getting a dog now would be a good idea, Daddy marched in there and put down the first bid. Fast forward two hours and no one has overbid us...Mommy realized how much she really did want the puppy and got excited about making her a part of our family. The "The silent auction is now closed!" announcement came and someone picked up the pen and overbid us!!! It was a sad Sunday around our house.
